Krysta has worked and lived in the Mt. Pleasant community for the last 12 years. She graduated from CMU with a masters in Licensed Professional Counseling and has extensive experience in trauma and crisis working in domestic violence, sexual assault, and community crisis response.

Krysta has a passion for helping individuals experiencing loss and believes everyone deserves to heal. Her training and education in trauma informed care, end of life, dementia, life transitions, and spirituality make her a well rounded choice for someone seeking support in their loss.

Krysta approaches the client relationship and treatment plan from the model of empowerment. Krysta’s theoretical approach is eclectic and inclusive of solution focused brief therapy, a feminist perspective, existential therapy, and humanistic therapy.

In her personal life, Krysta enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, and growing her plant collection. She is neurodivergent and LGBTQ+.

Kaylee Ott

(She/Her/Hers)

Children’s Play Therapist

MA, LLC, CYMHS

Kaylee is a Child Therapist at Carabelli Counseling, PLLC. She has a degree in Licensed Professional Counseling from Central Michigan University. After graduating, Kaylee found her passion in helping children and parents navigate life through their grief and trauma. She has experience working with children ages 4-18, nurturing the parent-child relationship, grief, trauma-informed care, and emotion regulation. 

Kaylee works through the empowerment model, allowing the client to feel confident in their own choices in their treatment. She feels fulfilled working with children to allow them to feel like their voice matters, and that although they may be going through something devastating that there is personal growth and joy in healing. Kaylee mainly uses play and art therapy, while keeping in mind a trauma-informed approach.

In her free time Kaylee enjoys photography, kayaking, quality time with her niece and nephew,  and spending time with her husband and three dogs.
