We are bringing specialized grief and trauma therapy to Central Michigan
It’s hard to find a therapist you like. It’s even harder to find one you love.
We understand the difficulty in making the right connection. This can be especially difficult when your grieving.
While there are some amazing therapists in the Central Michigan area that we love, we recognize grief is a specialty niche. Through our own experiences with grief and therapy, it can be overwhelming to sit in front of someone who just doesn’t get it.
We know grief is a unique journey and experience. It is different for each individual in emotion, length, and impact. It does not follow specific steps or timelines. It just is.
Our mission and passion has become providing the opportunity and space for people grieving to experience open, authentic, and trauma-informed therapy. We are passionate about advocating for people experiencing grief and empowering them to find healing.
Office Layout
Our office is located behind two doors, meaning more privacy and safety for everyone.
Our office offers a comfortable experience with you in mind. We take a trauma informed approach to provide safe and supportive spaces that are easy to navigate.
Each room is staged to provide you full access and view of the exits.
Why are we telling you all of this?
We believe it’s important for you to have an informed choice when deciding on your therapy experience. Being able to see and know what a space looks like before going reduces overwhelm and over stimulation. Our goal is to make therapy as accessible as possible for our clients who have experienced trauma, are neurodivergent, or attending therapy for the first time.
Intersectionality Matters.
At Carabelli Counseling, we embrace intersectionality. We believe all marginalized voices deserve to be heard. Diversity makes us stronger and better humans. We recognize our limitations to understanding the experience of others based in our own biases, lived experiences, and privileges.
Action Steps:
Provide safe environment for all folx to find support and healing.
All therapists receive supervision and training to challenge internal bias.
Actively engage in local and national movements to support human rights.
Pursue and hire therapists from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Provide resources from the experts and marginalized voices locally, nationally, and internationally.
We are woman owned and woman run.
As a small business, our success is based in the passion and love for the work. As women in business, it’s important for us to empower each other to break glass ceilings, and lift each other higher.
